NEW YORK (AP) ? In the age of social media, NBC now has millions of television critics who make their opinions known about every aspect of Olympics coverage instantly.
They've even set up their own hashtag on Twitter: (hash)nbcfail. The online complaints focused Saturday on NBC's decision to air the marquee swimming event won by American Ryan Lochte on tape delay in prime time, and Friday on the network not streaming the opening ceremony online. Sunday's critics started early: people wondering why the U.S. men's basketball team's opening game aired on a cable network while women's cycling was shown on NBC.
The conversation is so active that NBC's executive producer of the games, Jim Bell, took to Twitter to answer critics and even change the way NBC is doing something in response.
"(hash)nbcfail is filled with a lot of crying and snark and humor, but NBC can actually learn something from it," said Jeff Jarvis, a media critic who writes the Buzzmachine.com blog.
Complaints about tape delayed coverage are an evergreen with Olympics held on foreign soil. But the London Games are the first with Twitter, Facebook and other social media sites in full flower, in a mobile phone era where people carry computers that instantly deliver news in their pockets. It has amplified the impatience of viewers who want to see events on their large-screen TVs instantly and haven't been mollified by NBC's decision to stream the events live online.
James Poniewozik, Time magazine TV critic, tweeted that "NBC tape delay coverage is like the airlines: its interest is in giving you the least satisfactory service you will still come back for."
That drew a quick response from NBC's Bell: "You do know that all sports events are being streamed live right?"
"I do, indeed!" replied Poniewozik. "Have enjoyed it. Apparently a lot of folks still prefer watching it on TV."
NBC says it saves big events for prime-time airing because that is when most viewers are available to watch them and where the network makes the bulk of its advertising revenue. Since prime time on the U.S. East Coast coincides with 1 a.m. London time, there are no events to air live then. NBC representatives noted that there were 39 hours of live events Sunday on NBC and its affiliated networks.
Jonathan Wald, who produces Piers Morgan's CNN talk show and used to work at NBC, tweeted that "the medal for most Olympic whining goes to everyone who complains about what happens every four years. Tape delay."
One of those complainers, in fact, was Morgan: He tweeted his disdain Friday for NBC's decision not to make the opening ceremony available live.
The advent of Twitter makes it seems like there's a lot of unhappiness when the majority of viewers are watching NBC on tape delay and appear satisfied with it, Wald said in an interview.
NBC can point to television ratings justifying their approach. The Nielsen company said the opening ceremony drew more than 40 million people Friday, the most ever for one of those Olympic events. Saturday's first night of coverage was seen by 28.7 million, another record, beating every other first night of Olympic competition. In Beijing four years ago, 24 million watched on the corresponding night.
Jarvis said he believes NBC could satisfy fans by, for example, televising events like Lochte's race live in the afternoon and then repeating it at night. He acknowledges, though, that he's not the one who'd potentially be risking millions of dollars in advertising revenue if such a decision cut into prime-time viewing.
NBC has tried to "hold on to old media strategies in a new media world," Jarvis said. "And that's a mistake."
Some of the online complaints seem to take special glee in bashing NBC, with a few describing it like an Olympic sport of its own. Some are quite personal, like the CNN producer who tweeted Sunday: "No USA basketball in my hotel room. Why they aren't putting it on NBC's main channel is beyond me!"
Bell, in some of his back-and-forth with online critics Sunday, answered one tweeter who described herself as a St. Louis mom and complained about NBC's "Nightly News" on Saturday airing results of events that hadn't been shown on the network yet. Bell tweeted that he'd look into it, and shortly after told her that "Nightly News" would announce a "spoiler alert" to tell people to avert their eyes if they didn't want to see results.
Not everyone online is a critic. On Sunday, the U.S. Olympic sailing team tweeted that it was "by far the greatest sailing TV coverage in Olympic history."

JACKSON, Miss. ? ?Southern Baptist leaders called Monday for a Mississippi church to reject racism after some congregants prevented a black couple from getting married there.
Leaders of the Mississippi Baptist Convention and the Southern Baptist Convention said Monday that preventing Charles and Te'Andrea Wilson from marrying at First Baptist Church of Crystal Springs was wrong. Baptist churches are autonomous, so they want the congregation to chart its own course.
Jim Futral, executive director of the Mississippi Baptist Convention board, said the organization was praying for the church and is ready to help. William Perkins, a spokesman for the group, said the church has not contacted state officials.
"Our entire country, and especially here in Mississippi, has been on a long journey for right racial relationships," Futral said in a statement. "Mississippi Baptists both reject racial discrimination and at the same time respect the autonomy of our local churches to deal with difficulties and disagreements under the lordship of Jesus."
Crystal Springs town officials planned a racial unity rally Monday evening.
The Rev. Stan Weatherford, pastor of the church, married the Wilsons earlier this month at a predominantly black church in Crystal Springs, a small town south of Jackson. The wedding was moved to that church after some congregants told Weatherford they opposed allowing black people to marry at the First Baptist Church he leads.
Charles Wilson has said congregants threatened to fire Weatherford, though the pastor has said only that he was trying to make peace and avoid conflict. Some church members said Sunday that they were not consulted and disagreed with the decision to block the wedding.
The Southern Baptist Convention was born in the split between north and south before the Civil War, a split that also occurred in other Protestant denominations. After being slow to reach out across racial lines, Southern Baptists have made increasing efforts in that direction in the past two decades. Nationwide, about 19 percent of 45,000 Southern Baptist churches are majority-minority, including 3,500 that are majority black.
Earlier this year, the convention elected its first black president, the Rev. Fred Luter Jr. of Franklin Avenue Baptist Church in New Orleans. At the same meeting, delegates voted to give churches the option of calling themselves Great Commission Baptist churches, for those who wish to break free of the baggage of the Southern Baptist name and reach more followers.
"We are all saddened when any sin, including the sin of racism, rears its head," said Southern Baptist Convention spokesman Sing Oldham. "Part of our gospel is that we are being redeemed. We are flawed, failed creatures and redemption is a process."
Oldham said "a sizeable number" of Baptist pastors are fired or forced to resign each year in conflicts with church members. Most seminaries teach that pastors should be fired only for moral failure or theological error, but Baptist officials say many ministers are fired for personal conflicts or other reasons.
"Unfortunately, most of the members of the church don't read those books," Oldham said.

PGP creator Phil Zimmermann has teamed up with fellow Silicon Valley pioneer Jon Callas and ex-Navy SEALs Mike Janke and Vic Hyder to develop a new secure email, text, voice and video communications package called Silent Circle
Being able to communicate without fear of prying eyes and ears intercepting could to the letter mean the difference between life and death for journalists uncovering corruption in high places, campaigners and activists trying to make the world a better place, or undercover agents engaged in covert operations. The creative force behind so then-known email encryption software PGP had just such folks in mind when developing his latest digital security product. Phil Zimmermann has created a new suite of high-end encrypted communication products that combine with a custom-made secure network to ensure that the sender and recipient(s) are the only people able to access email, voice, video and text comms routed through the Silent Circle system.
Silent Circle is described as a worldwide encryptions communications firm that delivers a comprehensive suite of high-end private encrypted communication services for email, mobile phone, text and video conferencing. Should the contingency arise to Zimmermann, the company's development team includes fellow Silicon Valley pioneer and co-founder of the PGP Corporation Jon Callas and two highly decorated Navy Sea, Air, and Land operatives in the shape of ex Commander Vic Hyder and former sniper and Special Ops comms expert Mike Janke.
The suite is made up of four products, the first of which is the "Silent Phone" app which allows iOS/Android smartphone users to make and receive encrypted voice and video calls via Silent Circle's custom-built HD Network named The Circle.
"We offer a secure calling plan to provide users the ability to send and receive calls to anyone outside of The Circle," Janke explained. "For calls made inside The Circle, we offer unlimited minutes in Canada, the U.S. and Puerto Rico. It's the only app that provides amazing encrypted video/voice call on 3G, 4G or Wi-Fi so users can conduct encrypted video conferences on their iPhones during traveling. The peer-to-peer encryption uses the ZRTP protocol invented by Phil Zimmermann. Keys are exchanged on the mobile devices themselves not on a server."
Next up is the email encryption application "Silent Mail" that makes use of Zimmerman's PGP innovation and PGP Universal Server innovation invented by Callas to provide secure email via SSL SMTP to a custom-built, proprietary network. Users will be allocated a special @SilentMail.com email account, which can be set up to work with existing email customers like Outlook and Mac Mail.
PGP encryption research is, clearly, already offered by Symantec however is aimed directly at enterprise. Silent Circle has been developed exactly with security conscious individuals, human rights groups, oppressed dissidents, NGOs, special operations units, small businesses and corporations in mind.
"Today, encryption provides safe harbors from liability and prosecution as so then as being a quasi-mandate. Breach disclosure laws provide safe harbors via encryption, and this near becomes a mandate for it. Similarly, during neither SOX nor HIPAA to tell the truth mandate encryption, the requirements that they place on organizations are easier to satisfy with encryption than with other solutions. Storage encryption is now a built-in feature of Windows, Mac OS X, iOS, and Android. Communications encryption all in all lags in many areas, and it is these areas where Silent Circle focuses."
ZRTP research makes another appearance with the "Silent Eyes" app, a Mac/Windows VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) encryption client similar to Skype or iChat/FaceTime that offers "complete end-to-end encrypted video and voice services."
"In substance, we have created a closed-loop-system where the customer holds they encryption keys and we have no access," the company's CEO replied. "The world has accepted encryption and now relies on encryption for every facet of commerce, business and finance. Phil, Jon and I took all of the lessons learned from the past and present day law, to construct every facet of Silent Circle to be built upon protecting the users - even from a legal jurisdiction point of view."
"We spent a long time designing and building the network and the apps based upon lessons-learned from Phil's crypto-wars experience and from mine in the Special Operations world. During there was a lot of drama in the press at that time, the problems that dogged PGP were all related to either intellectual property, or export control. The world has changed with regards to both. Core cryptographic technologies are not inherently encumbered any more. Export control is no harder than doing one's taxes. Esther Dyson is famous for saying always make new mistakes. If we have problems, they'll be new ones, not the old ones."
"We have our fiber optic system, our entire equipment and our custom-built network in several locations in Canada. Canada has the most stringent privacy laws anywhere in the world, in this way giving Silent Circle users a progressive privacy-minded legal system with which to deal with, however laws change - we know that. So we built our system to ensure the individual devices holds the encryption keys. It forces the legal system of any country to work with the individual - not us."
"To boot, our custom-built PBX (Private -Automatic- Branch Exchange)'s are designed to allow voice and video to pass through, or rather than store anything. Any data we have, is completely encrypted and we don't hold the keys - the clients do."
Janke as well confirmed that "once data is deleted by a user, it is gone from our network as then simultaneously - we have no idea what the data is, at this stage encrypted from the users end." User activity logs are retained for 72 hours however only the date and time are recorded.
Janke revealed that Silent Circle will be available as three distinct packages. The full suite will include all four Silent Circle products, with free unlimited encrypted calls 3G/4G or Wi-Fi within "The Circle". Each user will be given a unequalled personal encrypted phone number. The cost for unlimited data and text will be US$20 per month.
The second package is the Secure Calling Program that will feature the "Silent Phone" app only, and will come with unlimited calling in U.S/Canada/PR to anyone in or out of our network for $39 per month.
Lastly, there will be a Bundled Program that includes all four encrypted products plus the secure unlimited calling plan for $55 per month.
Canada. Interesting problem. "Total Information Awareness" has some legal issues intercepting domestic communications, nevertheless as before long as they go overseas, everything is in a nutshell logged.

After the fall of the Soviet Union twenty years ago, water distribution in Central Asia became a source of conflict. In areas where summer precipitation is low, glaciers play an important role when considering the quantity of available water. The Tien Shan region is a prime example; mountain glaciers in this region contribute significantly to the fresh water supply in the arid zones of Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Northwestern China. Like Switzerland, Kyrgyzstan serves as a water tower for its neighboring countries.
While the impact of climate change on glaciation and water flow in the Tien Shan Mountains has already been the subject of studies, a consistent and local perspective of collected data has never before been presented. The results of this research, led by the l'UNIGE, show that the retreat of glaciers is more pronounced in peripheral areas, where summers are dry and melting ice and snow are key sources of water.
Glaciers are losing their surface every year
The glaciers in the Tien Shan Mountains cover a surface of over 15,000 square kilometers, equivalent to one third of the surface area of Switzerland. In recent decades, these glaciers have lost between 0.1% and 0.8% of their surface per year; a decrease comparable to that of alpine glaciers. The largest retreat was observed on the periphery of the Tien Shan Mountains, near the major cities of Almaty, Bishkek, Tashkent and rmqi. "In the summer, glaciers are the only source of fresh water for irrigation and household consumption in these regions," said Annina Sorg, first author of the study and researcher at the ISE (UNIGE) and at the Institute of Geology of Bern University. "The intensification of glacial melting strongly affects the quantity and seasonal distribution of water. Initially, the retreat of glaciers is going to increase the available water resources, but if precipitation doesn't compensate for the losses related to glacial retreat, the reduction of glacier volume will eventually reduce the amount of available water."
The researchers proceeded to analyze a series of measurements based on many parameters related to climate, glaciers, and streamflow in order to compare this data with existing information. Although these studies have revealed a clear tendency toward a reduction in streamflow during the summer, the impact of melting glaciers on the annual flow remains unclear. "Many factors can have an influence on water quantity," explains Annina Sorg. "Precipitation level, evaporation, and even human interference on the hydrological cycle are all factors to consider."
Long-term projections
The scenarios envisioned by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) predict a 4% to 8% increase in winter precipitation in Central Asia by 2050. Summer precipitation, however, will decrease by 4% to 7%, which will exacerbate the drought during the summer. Especially since, according to estimates, temperatures could rise by almost 4C in the next forty years.
According to projections, the Tien Shan Mountain glaciers will continue to lose their surface and volume in the coming decades.
In summary, certain Central Asian streams would move from a glacio-nival hydrological regime to a pluvio-nival regime, which would increas uncertainty regarding interannual variations in water levels, since they would be largely dependent on precipitation. Economic and political tensions in this area of the world would be added to the potentially disastrous environmental consequences.

GL Communications Inc. conveyed today its Centralized Supervisory and Control Systems for Mass Transit Networks.Gaithersburg, MD July 28, 2012
Speaking to the press, Mr. Vijay Kulkarni, CEO of the company said, ?a typical centralized train and facilities control system for an underground metro rail transit network in general gathers data from wayside instrumentation for train control and provides supervisory control and data acquisition for managing the various subsystems at the train stations. The term SCADA is used to describe control and management solutions in a variety of industries. SCADA systems collect data from various monitoring and control points. A central computer at that time processes the data, and controls the various subsystems. SCADA systems play a major role in modern industrial enterprises, for instance, public utilities, manufacturing plants, oil and gas stations, and water and electric utilities."
He added, ?Typical SCADA systems consists of: Input and output devices, Remote terminal units, Programming logic controllers, Centralized computers, Communications systems and interfaces, User Interfaces, Standard and/or custom SCADA or HMI software.
The Remote Terminal Unit or the Programming Logic Controller plays a key role in collecting and controlling the subsystems/parts. SCADA systems typically require little or no human intervention, even though they have capabilities built-in for such possibilities for remote monitoring and control. They may utilize long or short distance communications, leased T1/wired/wireless networks, for connectivity depending upon the need and circuit availability.?
Mr. Kulkarni furthermore added, ?One of the main difficulties that many organizations face is integration of several discrete SCADA systems that have been delivered over time. This is because of the SCADA industry's use of proprietary hardware, software and communications protocols. For instance, in a typical metro rail system, centralized train control and traction power management systems may be similar. Conversely, building management systems for intrusion, fire and security could be very different in that they may use different set of protocols and communication standards and practices. As well, Fire Management Systems must follow the rules established by the State's Fire Marshall and/or Authority Having Jurisdiction. They are developed by vendors in different industry groups and may have different types of specialized devices.

Watanabe announced his resignation at a press conference Thursday in Tokyo, ending his four year leadership of Nomura Holdings Ltd. Takumi Shibata, the chief operating officer, also resigned.
Watanabe, 59, will from Aug. 1 be replaced by Koji Nagai, the president of Nomura Securities Co., which is part of the Nomura banking empire and at the center of the?insider?scandal.
Japan's financial regulators are investigating Nomura Securities for leaking information to clients ahead of planned securities offerings by energy company Inpex, Mizuho Financial Group and Tokyo Electric Power Co. in 2010.
Nomura has admitted that some its employees were involved in leaking?inside?information and is taking steps to prevent recurrences.
"Our reputation has been badly damaged," said Nagai. "To try to restore trust is easily said, but to actually accomplish that is a huge undertaking. Rather than just change our approach, we need to fundamentally rebuild the company. All corporate employees need to be involved in this," he said.
The scandal at Nomura is the latest blow to the reputation of global banks which are still reeling from the rate fixing scandal that erupted in the U.K. Barclays and other major banks are alleged to have manipulated a global benchmark lending rate to boost profits from their own?trading?of financial products linked to interest rates.
A panel of external lawyers commissioned by Nomura to investigate the three 2010 cases said in a June 29 report that equity sales staff was found to have sought information from colleagues about upcoming offerings that Nomura was underwriting and then pass along tips to customers.
The panel made a series of recommendations to prevent such incidents in the future, including banning conversations with clients about rumors regarding financing transactions and using personal cellphones for business.
Nomura provided an update on a series of preventative steps and "improvement measures" it planned to implement, mostly by the end of August "to restore confidence we have lost in the capital markets." They included reviews of internal controls and rules, employee training to reinforce awareness about?insider?tradingand penalties, and requiring equity sales staff to use mobile phones with a recording function.
Watanabe helped spearhead Nomura's expansion into Asia, engineering the company's purchase of Lehman Brothers' Asian and European assets following its collapse in 2008. Nagai said Nomura would continue to aim to be a global investment bank centered in Asia.
Nomura is reportedly losing underwriting business in wake of the scandal. The company is still being investigated by the Securities and Exchange Surveillance Commission and could face penalties.
Nomura's share price has fallen by more than a third since word of the investigation first surfaced in March, falling from 417 yen to 259 yen. It was up 5.7 percent Thursday on reports of Watanabe's resignation.

For years, Holly Madison yearned to have a baby with boyfriend Hugh Hefner. But it never happened, likely because he's 129 years old.
So now the former Playboy model is taking it upon herself to start a family: she's making plans to adopt!
"I really want to be a mommy," Madison tells In Touch, adding that the process with adoption mentoring service Hold My Hand is underway and she hopes to secure a child from Africa or South Korea.
Madison has mostly been out of the news since leaving the Playboy Mansion, although she did appear in her own reality show and has been performing in Las Vegas for awhile.
We last wrote about her way back in September because she took out an insurance policy on her large breasts.

(Reuters) - A Colorado business owned by a Catholic family does not have to comply with President Barack Obama's new healthcare mandate that private employers provide employees with insurance coverage of birth control, a Colorado federal judge ruled on Friday.
District Judge John Kane in Denver temporarily blocked the government from the enforcing the contraception requirement against the religious owners of Hercules Industries Inc, a private manufacturer of heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment.
The ruling only affects this plaintiff but opens the door for any company to seek relief on religious grounds. Lawyers for the Department of Health and Human Services argued that a temporary exemption for Hercules would interfere with the government's ability to implement the law. But Kane was not persuaded.
"This harm pales in comparison to the possible infringement upon (the Newland family's) constitutional and statutory rights," the judge wrote. He noted that the government had already created numerous exceptions for religious employers, exempting over 190 million health plan participants.
The law posed an imminent harm to the company's owners by forcing them to support contraception, sterilization and abortion in violation of their religious beliefs or face steep fines, Kane said.
Members of the Newland family, which owns Hercules, sued in April, challenging the provision that is part of the new health care law, the Affordable Care Act of 2010.
Roman Catholic bishops and many Republican lawmakers oppose the provision. The Catholic Church launched a campaign against it from Sunday Mass pulpits across the country. Catholic Church doctrine opposes artificial contraception but most American Catholics do not adhere to church policy.
Hercules provides a self-insured group plan for its 265 full-time employees that does not cover birth control, sterilization or abortion-inducing drugs. But the new regulation would require Hercules to provide such coverage by November 1, the ruling said.
Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius expressed disappointment with the decision in a statement.
"This lawsuit was not brought by a religious organization. Rather, it was brought by a for-profit commercial enterprise whose purpose is to sell HVAC equipment," she said, adding that healthcare decisions should be between women and their doctors, not their employers.
"Every American, including family business owners, should be free to live and do business according to their faith," Matthew Bowman, a lawyer for Hercules with the Alliance Defense Fund, said in a statement.
More than 20 lawsuits are pending around the country against the birth control mandate, brought by organizations including the University of Notre Dame, Catholic University of America and the Archdiocese of New York.
On July 17, another federal judge in Nebraska dismissed a similar lawsuit brought by seven states, two Catholic individuals and three Catholic non-profit institutions, finding that the plaintiffs did not face any immediate harm from the law.

Significantly, it appears I am demand for many quick quid effectively previous to payday loans online. Several Britons aren?t able to acquire straightforward credit through the street finance institutions, especially in the sensible rate. That results in lots of reduced earnings workers in the lurch with nothing to select from whenever they need to have funds to be charged urgent costs. If credit worthiness procedures nearly anything, it appears for you to appraise the capacity to match monthly bill bills and also other bills approaching expected which has a back-up hard cash source.
Since several reduced salary employees and also individuals that currently have outrageously great bills just like lease, utilities payments, auto gasoline bills etc, are unable to often create every pay cheque very last until eventually payday, money right up until payday companies meet the increasing demand. Getting at times named loan, speedy money, quick cash, dollars before payday advance, pay out progress as well as other terms and conditions.
We have witnessed sufficient adverse results towards simple option of money by payday loans online firms, yet think the predicament in the client?s standpoint. A lot of people really do require a helping hand in the thirty day period. Political actions to limit simple dollars credit solely serve to improve their particular stranglehold on Great Britain financial circumstances. By incorporating payday loan companies, debtors tend not to even have to pay out fascination when the mortgage pays within just a fortnight. Would certainly the major banking companies provide this type of credit? Also plastic cards ask for interest through the day associated with pay for. Does this tell you more to do with this grass origins strength involving cash advance task?
A benefit of a contemporary economic as well as credit technique is that it complies with individual?s person credit history requirements. The UK checking as well as credit score system isn?t really developed to support small income earners, when these types of minimal pay earners are generally delayed upon obligations, the item wounds their own credit history. All these situations tend not to help much an individual?s cause a lot less most of these consumers. Obtaining wage day innovations obtainable suggests they will keep away from these types of bad represents with their credit ranking and dwell much more with assurance and also pleasantly. For college kids residing away from home without having that you choose instead in financial terms, these dollars options are essential. Consider working for a low wage for the little while by yourself and will also be in a position to sympathize subsequently.
Payday loans online balances are often monitored conscientiously as well as properly. In the event better credit charges are apparent, this can be a small investment for like usefulness. Quite a few cash advance credit seekers include depicted full satisfaction as well as alleviation in relation to obtaining their particular profile. It is easy and easy to use along with soon after configuring their bill they could receive money almost instantly. If you have a career as well as a check assure card, then you certainly way too could probably amenable a strong loan account.
Payday loans online corporations are becoming more predominant and could offer you swifter program and reduced prices because of their lower overhead costs.
In case you have a payday loans online profile, express the appreciation for your payday loan lenders as well as option cash available. Say that these significant lenders will be offering your wants and the way you?ll be able to count on them. If you fail to think of any kind of large finance institutions that do therefore, inform them exactly why payday loans can be a basic need currently.

SAN FRANCISCO - (Via Skype Video) Adobe will power live streaming and on-demand delivery to digital devices of the London 2012 Olympics for the BBC, says?Ashley Still, Director of Video Solutions at Adobe Systems in this interview with Beet.TV. The BBC will use Adobe's Project Primetime video technology platform to reach viewers in the United Kingdom via computers, smartphones, tablets and connected TVs.
"There will be more content available on the Internet than over TV," Still tells us in this video interview. "BBC is the first large customer we can talk about that is extensively using components of Project Primetime."
The Adobe tools, for instance, will allow the BBC to simulcast events live on digital devices, and then also turn those feeds into on-demand clips. The programming coverage will be accessible on both Apple and Android devices.
The London Olympics is being billed as the first digital Olympics. "You can really see the shifts that have happened in consumer adoption of new technology every two to four years. It's amazing for mobile," Still tells us.
NBC Sports is also using Adobe's Project Primetime in the United States.
In London in June, at BBC headquarters, we spoke with the BBC's Cait O'Riordan, Head of Product, Sport and Olympics 2012.? Please find that interview on this page, below.

People text each other from the oddest places these days -- bathrooms, roller coasters, water parks. But one fan was called out quite publicly when he decided to text rather continuously from, of all places, an Iron Maiden concert.
Bruce Dickinson, leader of the British heavy metal band, spotted the texter and screamed out, "Oh, for (expletive) sake, the guy with the bald head and the white shirt, you've been texting for the last (expletive) three songs. You're a (British expletive)!"
The scolding was captured on video during Maiden's concert at Klipsch Music Center in Indianapolis on July 19, and the video's quickly been passed around. Dickinson didn't spend much time worrying about the clueless fan. Right after calling him out, the band ripped into "Wasted Years."
Whose side are you on -- Dickinson's or the texting fan's? Vote in our poll, and tell us on Facebook.

A recent survey of U.K. and U.S. mobile gamers by PopCap shows that around 50% of respondents preferred their phone to PC, console, or dedicated handheld gaming console (like a PSP or Nintendo DS). Tablet owners ranked a bit higher with 57%. Despite the portability that tablets and smartphones offer, 69% reported to play on their phones at home on the couch (78% among tablet owners), 41% while watching TV (52% for tablet owners), and 57% while in bed (51%). 10% of the 602 American respondents had played mobile games while in a place of worship, driving a car, and/or while watching a movie at a theater. The survey's sample size was a little over a thousand-strong - take that as representative or not as you will.
With stuff like Ouya coming out of the woodwork, I'd be interested to see just how much Android manages to displace the traditional console gaming industry and which players are savvy enough to get with the times. So far, EA has done a great job of adapting to and addressing the mobile market, meanwhile Nintendo has been vocally against the app store model.
Will players really take to switching to mobile full-time, though? I know I've definitely spent less time on my Alienware since getting really involved with mobile games, but what about you guys? Is your Xbox getting jealous of your tablet?
