We had our Texas Master Naturalist meeting in an interesting facility tonight? a place owned by the city of Plano that is kind of an outdoor classroom for Plano schools. It is not open to the public (funny to me that we call them public schools ? why not be honest and call them socialized education facilities?) but we had an insiders deal to hang out there tonight. They do a lot of rescue work, and it turns out about half (my estimate) of their non-releasable animals came from drug busts out of Dallas county! Lots of interesting caged animals, see pictures below (and lucky for you you I can?t share the smell with you!) I imagine this is a real treat for a school field trip, lots of cool stuff to see and learn about.
